Good Evening

Info/Rules

Canoe Polo is an exciting (and tiring) ball game played with 5 players and up to 3 subs, usually in a pool. The aim of the game being to get the ball into your opponents net as many times as possible. The goals are suspended in the air at each end of the pool and can be defended using paddles. The ball can be played with hands or paddles (but you’re not allowed to put it on your spraydeck and paddle). You are allowed to paddle into boats and even push players in if they’ve got the ball! Typically a game lasts for around 5-10 minutes each way.

Bristol Uni Canoe Club practise polo at 9pm on Friday evenings in the union pool. We enter teams into several university tournaments and play in the regional Southwest league.
